Leadership Training: Lesson 46
In recent lessons we have discussed many different methods for building an NSP business, including newsletters, networking, the internet, various forms of advertising, trade shows, home parties, nutrition classes, public speaking, joint venturing, and becoming a natural health consultant. Of course there are many other ways to build your business. Creative distributors are discovering new ways all the time. Naturally most distributors will not limit themselves to just one of these methods but will instead employ a combination of several of them.
One that I have not mentioned in recent discussions is the traditional brick-and-mortar retail store. Most distributors do not enter this business with the intention of opening a store. In fact, most chose network marketing because they were attracted by the low start-up costs, flexible hours, and many other benefits that network marketing offers that traditional retail businesses can not provide. But some distributors were already in the retail business when they signed up, and chose simply to add NSP's products to their current product line. Other NSP distributors found that once their business reached a certain level of success, it became advantageous to open a retail outlet and to hire and train employees to help them better serve their many customers. Regardless of how they got started with retail, NSP distributors have found that, unlike almost any other network marketing company, NSP's plan works very well for those who choose to sell the products in a traditional retail store.
This concludes this section, and the business course itself. Remember that learning is a never ending process. If you are not growing you will soon be declining. Be sure to take advantage of all the educational opportunities that NSP offers their distributors. Keep informed by checking the official web site regularly. Attend classes and conventions whenever possible. (Remember that your travel costs and all expenses can be a tax deduction.)
