Network Marketing

Despite the claims made by charlatans, network marketing is not a "get-rich-quick" scheme. Those who think they can get rich overnight, with little effort on their part, are doomed to early disillusionment and failure.

On the other hand, if you are motivated, determined, and willing to work tirelessly, the rewards of this business—both financial and otherwise—are greater than any comparable occupation. In the beginning, you can expect to work harder than you will be compensated for. But when you succeed, you will be compensated far more than will seem possible given the time and effort that you will expend.

Over the past few years, network marketing has changed the nutrition industry. Many "health food" stores have gone out of business because they refused to adapt, while many network marketers—who often started their businesses from a kitchen table—have prospered to the point where they have found it expedient to move into a storefront location.

The reasons for these changes, though many, may be summarized by the following two facts: (1) Network marketing has proven to be more financially viable in terms of startup costs, overhead, marketing, financial returns, job satisfaction, customer retention, etc., and; (2) Just as importantly, network marketing takes advantage of a principle that has always been important in the natural health field, and that is, people need the help of other people.

What does the future hold? The public's interest in both natural health and network marketing is growing. As we saw in a previous lesson, every indication from the experts is that these trends will continue. It is an exciting time to enter either area—even more exciting to enter both!
