Following up with New Members

In our last two lessons I discussed the importance of following up with your new contacts and with your customers after the sale. In this lesson I will discuss following up with your new members.

Following up with new members:

Do you know why NSP pays you such a generous percentage of what your members buy? Is this a "finder's fee"? Well, maybe in part. A "finder's fee" may justify the commission you receive on their first order or two, but does that justify your receiving a percentage of all their purchases throughout the entire life of their NSP membership?

The reason you will continue to be compensated is because you are being paid to train and support your successline. Make sure that you earn it! Service is what it's all about! Service is also what separates you from Wal-Mart, GNC, and every other retail outlet for nutritional products.

It is very important to follow up with new members. As an excuse for calling, (as if you needed one!), tell them you are checking to see if they have any questions about their membership or their products.

Make sure they know how to place an order. If you hold meetings, give them a personal invitation. Tell them to feel free to call you anytime they have questions. (If you ever get a question that you can't answer, you can always ask your upline. That's what we are getting paid for! When you are talking to your new members, you should let them know about the part-time or full-time business opportunity. You don't have to be pushy. Just let them know about it, and let them decide for themselves. Don't automatically assume that they will not be interested. They might surprise you.
